Puppy Pre-School

This 1 hour, 4 week class will cover typical puppy issues such as socialization, house-training, play biting, chewing and handling. In addition basic obedience such as "Sit, Down, Come, Leave It", loose leash walking, no jumping up and a "wait" at the door will be introduced.
Limited to 6 puppies under 14 weeks old.
Cost is $60.00

Taught by Jay Barman at High Point Animal Hospital of Maumee.

Good Dog! Basics

This 1 hour, 4 week class will cover the commands “Sit, Down, Stand, Stay, Off, and Come” and will encourage loose leash walking (no pulling!) and polite greeting (no jumping up!).
Limited to 6 dogs or pups over 4 months old. Taught by Jay Barman.
Cost is $60.00

  • Saturdays: 10:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. New sessions starting on 7/19.
  • Saturdays: 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. New session starting on 8/2.

Good Dog! Advanced

This 1 hour, 6 week class will strengthen your dogs basic obedience skills. We will continue working on not pulling on the leash and not jumping up. We'll work rock-solid stays and recalls (Come). Our goal is to prepare your dog to pass the AKC CGC (Canine Good Citizen - www.akc.org/events/cgc) and the TDI (Therapy Dog International - www.tdi-dog.org) tests. Good Dog! Basics or instructor approval is required. Taught by Jay Barman.
Limited to 6 dogs.
Cost is $90.00

Beginning Agility

Identify and develop motivators (food, toys, play), work on balance and body awareness, introduce clicker training, include focus and control exercises and introduce your dog to safe, fun and fast performances of the various agility obstacles.

Intermediate Agility

This 1 hour, 4 week class will stress contact obstacle performance, introduce handling skills, and begin to chain obstacles. This class is designed to be repeated as necessary - with continually changing curriculum.
Limited to 5 dogs. Taught by Stacey Beck.
Cost is $50.00

  • Tuesdays: 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. New sessions starting on 7/15 & 8/12.
  • Wednesdays: 10:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. New sessions starting on 7/30 & 8/27.

Advanced Agility

This 1 hour, 4 week class is for true course work and geared toward all levels of aspiring or current competitors. The emphasis will be on advanced handling skills, proofing and problem solving. Instructor approval is required. This class is designed to be repeated - with continually changing curriculum.
Limited to 5 dogs. Taught by Stacey Beck.
Cost is $50.00

Beginning Competition Obedience

This 1 hour, 6 week class will introduce the foundation skills needed to compete in Obedience. These skills include attention/focus, sit/down/stand position changes, eit stay, back, self-control exercises, hup, bounce, butt tag, motivational recalls, targeting and box work.
Limited to 6 dogs. Taught by Karen Ayers.
Cost is $85.00

Novice/Open Competition Obedience

This 1 hour, 6 week class will help you perfect the skills necessary to successfully compete at the Novice and Open levels. These skills include the different parts of heeling (slow/fast/normal transitions, in/close, turns, footwork, set-ups), targeting, boxwork (perfecting sit/down/stand including signals), stays and attention. Other skills will be introduced depending on the training levels of the dogs in the class.
Limited to 6 dogs. Taught by Karen Ayers.

Beginning Conformation

These 1 hour, 8 week classes are geared towards the new conformation handler. Curriculum includes how to bait, stack, gate, etc. as well as how to enter trials, what to wear, etc.
Liminted to 6 dogs. Taught by Joan Malak.
Cost is $120.00

  • Mondays: 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. We will start a new session when there are at least 3 clients interested.
